Description of the duties of the organization:

The Board of Ministers in the meeting dated 4/2/1381 according to the proposal No. 89/9041/13899/105 dated 9/7/1380 of the country's management and planning organization and based on Article (2) of the law on the formation of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture - approved 1379_ description of preferential duties The Ministry of Agricultural Jihad approved as follows:

A- Policy making, planning and monitoring:

1- Determining policies and strategies related to the agricultural sector, development and development of villages and nomadic areas, as well as organizing and implementing agricultural development programs in the framework of sustainable development policies. 2- Carrying out investigations and necessary measures in order to plan the production and supply the country's needs for agricultural and livestock products and export development, taking into account the relative advantages in the framework of the country's commercial policies. 3- Preparation of implementation and updating of agricultural and rural information systems and establishment of statistical systems. 4- Preparation of standards and regulations and necessary planning in the field of facilities and infrastructures needed for production and producers of the agricultural sector. 5- Monitoring and evaluating the performance and activities of institutions and companies affiliated to the ministry and creating the necessary programmatic and operational coordination.

6- Monitoring and evaluation of programs, plans, activities and actions within the scope of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture in order to measure their efficiency and effectiveness.

B_ Research, education and promotion affairs:

1- Conducting applied and developmental research in the following fields

A- Water and soil, seed and seedling improvement, breeding, animal and aquatic breeding, forests and pastures, and irrigation of pests and plant diseases and ways to combat them. B- Taking advantage of advanced biotechnology and genetic engineering techniques in the agricultural sector, developing suitable methods and using new technologies for agricultural and livestock development according to the climatic and geographical conditions of the country. C- Increasing productivity, reducing waste and improving the quality of production of agricultural products. D- Diseases, serums, serums and biological materials necessary to prevent and fight against animal diseases, aquatic and common diseases of humans and livestock and their preparation and production in the country.

2- Protection, collection, evaluation, revival and development of genetic inheritance reserves, plant biodiversity and germplasm of agricultural, horticultural, ornamental, medicinal, pasture, forest and animal and aquatic plants and useful and harmful microorganisms and insects in the framework of the assigned scope has been 3- Study and research in order to develop agriculture and improve its position in the national economy and rural and nomadic development. 4- Planning and implementation of scientific-applied and technical-professional trainings for workers in agriculture and rural industries within the framework of approved policies, as well as training new methods and techniques of agriculture and animal husbandry to related producers. 5- Studying, designing and optimizing models and systems of production and exploitation in the agricultural sector and their continuous evaluation and improvement.. 

6- Planning and presenting the results of the conducted researches to the employees, producers and users of the agricultural sector, as well as recognizing their issues and problems and taking action to solve them through the implementation of promotional programs.

C- Natural resources and watershed affairs:

1- Comprehensive investigation and study of the country's watersheds in order to prepare watershed plans and prevent soil erosion and prepare a comprehensive plan for the use of agricultural lands and natural resources and optimal use of these lands. 2- Planning and taking the necessary measures to prevent the change and conversion of agricultural land and forest. 3- Preservation, revitalization, expansion, protection and proper exploitation of the country's forests and natural and hand-planted pastures and providing the basis for the implementation of large-scale projects of forestry, forestry, pasture management, creation of forest parks and natural recreation areas within the framework of the goals and sustainable development policies and necessary supervision. 4- Planning and implementation of watershed projects and stabilization of quicksand and desertification

. 5- Identifying and distinguishing the legal sanctity of national lands from the exceptions of real and legal persons and the transfer of national resources in the name of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the implementation of regulations related to the management and transfer of national and state lands within the framework of existing laws and regulations.

D- Agricultural infrastructure and rural development affairs:

1- The development of mechanization according to the climatic and cultural characteristics of different regions and providing the necessary support and technical services. 2- Consolidation of lands, construction of roads between farms, equipping and renovating farms and gardens in order to effectively use agricultural resources and institutions and improve productivity in the production process with an emphasis on improving water efficiency. 3- Planning and carrying out the necessary measures in the field of preserving and improving the soil and providing reasons for its optimal use. 4- Providing the necessary factors to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of irrigation in fields and gardens. 5- Planning for the transfer of water from networks 3 and 4 and Syntes rivers and canals, distribution and consumption of agricultural water and carrying out the necessary measures in order to build and maintain related facilities within the framework of existing laws

. 6- Carrying out duties arising from the implementation of the law on fair distribution of water-consumption 1361_ and its subsequent amendments. 7- Planning and carrying out the necessary studies in order to design and implement small water resources development projects after obtaining the necessary permission from the power regulations. 8- Planning and necessary measures for the construction, maintenance and operation of fishing ports and infrastructure facilities in compliance with the duties of other ministries. 9- Planning, taking measures and predicting the necessary mechanisms for the development and development of villages in coordination with other institutions. 10- Planning and organizing nomads' nomad settlements within the framework of regional comprehensive plans. 11- Development and support of small industries, change and complement the agricultural sector and rural industries within the framework of industrial policies of the country.

E- Agriculture, livestock and aquatic affairs:

1- Planning and adopting the necessary measures in order to increase the productivity of the factors and resources of agricultural production and to achieve cultivation patterns that are appropriate to the available water resources, production capacities and climatic conditions of different regions of the country. 2- Ensuring the health of livestock and its related products and combating livestock and human-animal diseases, livestock quarantine and health control of slaughterhouses and health monitoring of pastures, watering holes, livestock keeping facilities, animal feed factories and other facilities and centers Preparation, storage and supply of raw livestock products. 3- Monitoring and controlling the production, import and consumption of nutrients and other biological materials used by livestock.

4- Planning and carrying out the necessary measures in order to create and expand early awareness and care networks, prevention, plant quarantine and diagnosis and fight against general pests and diseases, universal and other plant pests and diseases and monitoring the entry, production, distribution and consumption The poisons required by the agricultural sector in compliance with the country's environmental indicators. 5- Planning, preparation and implementation of projects related to preserving livestock, poultry and breeding resources and improving livestock nutrition.

6- Quantitative and qualitative development of livestock products and preparation and implementation of the country's livestock system and organization of slaughterhouses. 7- Planning and taking necessary measures in order to maintain the revival, development and proper exploitation of water resources under the jurisdiction and authority of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the development of aquaculture in the country.

G_ Supporting affairs:

1- Supporting the development of investment in the agricultural sector and using the credit facilities of the Agricultural Bank and other banking resources and establishing funds to support the development of the agricultural sector and rural industries with the participation of producers and providing the necessary facilities to provide the credits needed by the producers. Agriculture department. 2- Implementation of protection and insurance policies and methods in order to protect the producers, products and facilities of the agricultural sector and pay damages to the damaged producers based on the adopted policies.

3- Planning and adopting support and encouragement policies in order to develop and promote the technology of agricultural machinery and tools within the framework of approved policies. 4- Providing the necessary grounds for the supply and distribution of agricultural and livestock inputs, medicine, serum and other biological materials through the non-governmental sector and, if necessary, the development of the ministry and the necessary supervision in this field.

5- Carrying out the necessary measures in order to create the non-governmental organizations needed by the agriculture sector and provide services and financial and technical support to them and apply the necessary supervision. 6- Proposing programs for regulating the market of agricultural products and livestock products as well as the guaranteed price in order to support the producers of the agricultural sector to the Council of Ministers and timely purchase of agricultural products.

7- Providing facilities and facilities and carrying out the necessary coordination and follow-up for the development of the export of products and products of the agricultural sector and rural industries within the framework of the country's commercial policies and programs. 8- Carrying out other duties that are under the responsibility of the ministry according to the laws and regulations.
